In India's food industry, the words "pure," "natural," and "chemical-free" appear on almost every label. They're used so frequently that they've started to mean very little.
We decided early on that we needed a way to back up our claims that didn't rely on you taking our word for it. So we independently test every product we sell.
What is NABL Accreditation?
NABL stands for the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories. It is India's official government accreditation body for testing laboratories, operating under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
When a lab is NABL accredited, it means the laboratory has passed rigorous assessment of its technical competence, equipment calibration, quality systems, and testing procedures. NABL accreditation is internationally recognised under the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA).
In simple terms: an NABL lab is not just any lab. It has been independently assessed and certified to produce reliable, traceable test results.
Who Tests Our Products?
We use Equinox Labs Pvt. Ltd., located at Equinox Center, R65, TTC, Rabale, Navi Mumbai. Equinox Labs is an NABL-accredited testing laboratory specialising in food and agricultural products. Our reports are authorised by Dr. Manisha Kharade, Quality Manager.
What is Tested?
Our current reports cover nutritional composition for both our ghee products — energy, total fat, carbohydrates, protein, and total sugar. As we expand our testing programme, we will add parameters including:
- Heavy metal screening
- Pesticide residue testing
- Microbiological parameters
- Adulteration testing (for ghee: vanaspati detection)
How You Can Verify Our Reports
Every report we publish carries a ULR (Unique Lab Report) number — a government-registered identifier. You can independently verify the report on the NABL portal at nabl-india.org.
For example, our Desi Cow Ghee report carries ULR number TC682026000032602F and our Buffalo Ghee report carries TC682026000032601F. Both were issued on 13 April 2026.
This means you don't have to trust us. You can verify.

Our commitment is that every product sold on this store will have a publicly available, downloadable lab report from an NABL-accredited laboratory.
