Know What You Are Buying
The Indian market is full of products that look pure but aren't. Here's what makes ours different — and how to test purity yourself.
Bilona Desi Ghee
Commercial ghee starts from cream extracted by centrifuge. Bilona ghee starts from curd — hand-churned to butter, then slow-cooked. Different process, different fat profile, different aroma.
- Test it: Should melt instantly on your palm. Rich aroma when warm.
- Granules in winter? Sign of authenticity. Warm the jar in water to liquify.
Wood Pressed Mustard Oil (Kachi Ghani)
Refined oil is solvent-extracted, bleached, deodorised — high yield, no character. Kachi ghani is cold-pressed in a wooden kolhu. No heat, no chemicals.
- Test it: Deep golden colour, sharp pungent smell, slight natural sediment is normal.
- Pale and odourless = over-processed. Real mustard oil has bite.
Wild Forest Honey
Commercial honey is heated to 70°C+ to look clean and flow fast — destroys every enzyme. Ours is minimally filtered, never heated.
- Test it: Drop in water — pure honey sinks, doesn't dissolve.
- Crystallises over time? That's real honey. Warm jar in water to liquify.
Natural Jaggery
Light-coloured jaggery is treated with sulphur dioxide. Ours is unsulphured — dark golden, mineral-rich, the way it should be.
- Test it: Dark golden-brown, not light yellow. Rich molasses taste, not flat sweetness.
Our Packaging
