For machher jhol and shorshe ilish, black mustard oil is non-negotiable. I have been compromising with supermarket brands for years since moving from WB. This oil from Chahal is genuinely what I was looking for — strong pungency, deep amber colour, no artificial smell. The argemone oil test being negative was very important to me given past food safety concerns with mustard oil. Excellent product.
